Our Staff:

Our human staff is comprised of eight people:

1. Veterinarian
Evan Blonder, D.V.M.

Practicing for 9 years. Previously, an associate at Bayonne Animal Hospital in Bayonne, NJ. "I believe that client education is key to understanding the onset of animal disease. Once a pet owner recognizes the early warning signs, he could ensure his pet's good health".

Please call or e-mail if you have a question about your pet.

2. Veterinary Technician
Judy Amoroso

Judy also doubles as the receptionist. A veterinary technician for 12 years, she has considerable experience with caged birds, exotic animals, and wildlife. She is available to answer all your questions and give her two cents any time.

3. Veterinary Assistant/Groomer
Sue Colaiacovo

This woman with the many hats has done more with a matted dog or cat than Edward Scissorhands. Her work is indeed astounding. Formally of Pet Stop in Huntington, she has brought her talents to East Village to make all of the town's dogs and cats beautiful.

4. Veterinary Assistant/Kennel/Reception
Rosie Mercado

A new addition to the hospital. Rosie has experience in lab animal science, and she brings her patience and learning abilities to the hospital. She sparks with creativity, and we look forward to helping her achieve her goals in veterinary medicine.

Larry Stromwasser

Dr. Blonder's Father in Law. He will always be there on Saturday to help out with anything. Animals, Phone help, computer glitches....anything.

Chris Amoroso

Judy's nephew, Chris picks up the slack during the evening hours. There is nothing that he won't try to do. He wants to be an NHL goaltender, and we are all for that.

Susan Honigman

A great receptionist, and very handy with the phones. Teaching her the computer system is another story. She came over from the VetSmart Staff, and will cover receptionist duties in the morning.

Haydee Angeles

The newest addition to the staff, Haydee is a veterinary technician , now studying for a degree in veterinary technology. We wish her luck in her stay here.
